The fillet boards bring a new concept to the industry on how to prepare fish more efficiently with less waste and also bring a secondary purpose in preparing other foods. Fish from 7" to 28" can be filleted easily, clean up is quick and the ability to do multiple fish is easier.

Kim Bruggemann

Inventor/Founder

Kim started at a young age in construction at his fathers company. He was quickly interested in building houses from the ground up looking and thinking of ways to get the job completed in the most efficient way possible. Then he moved into starting a small corporation buying hard to find homes on speculation.

Kim and his father had the idea of wanting to own an RV park. They purchased one in western Montana, which threw him into the retail business of a convenient store, sporting goods, a fly shop, gas and propane, camping and also cabins. They sold the RV park and brought the family back to the east in upstate NY. Here he quickly got back into construction and purchasing real estate to remodel and sell. Kim still lives in upstate NY doing construction and carpentry.

Through all this time he really enjoyed hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. Most of his enjoyment came from feeding his family with things he was able to hunt and catch and process himself. While being able to do this he realized there must be a better and easier way to fillet fish, but he found nothing on the market. This is when the idea of the Easy Board for filleting came to mind.

Ed Gabriels                                                                                                                                                                             Marketing/Partner

When Ed was younger he loved the outdoors and spent many hours with his dad fishing in all parts of Michigan. As he grew older he gained interest in food and wanted to make it look like it did in the pages of all the food magazines. As time continued he began to think about designing and marketing which led him to art school where he received a BFA in Design. Ed spent many years in the Advertising where he was involved in marketing analysis of direct and indirect comptetition, and the development of designs and graphic concepts for some of the top company's in the world. This experience has given him a keen awareness of the strengths and weeknesses of his competitors to allow him to retain and build the market share of the company he has worked for.

Ed's advertising career has taken him many places, but he now splits his time in NYC and upstate NY where he continues to chose to engage the entrepreneurial spirit. He still works in the creative and advertising world as a food and beverage stylist, leaving his options open to being involved in other projects. Ed still loves the outdoors, being creative and fishing with his friend Kim.
